Coordination between the Owner and the Property Management office could mean the difference to the victim of a medical emergency. Owner should call an ambulance or paramedic, giving the main address for the building and suite/floor number. Owner may then call the Property Management Office to alert them that an ambulance is on its way to the building. Management will take an elevator out of service on the main floor with an operator standing by. When the ambulance arrives, the crew will be taken to the location of the victim. The elevator operator will stay at the floor until the victim and crew is ready to go down to street level. This simple procedure will enable the ambulance crew to move quickly in and out of the building.
